Barbara Schultz is the founder of The Career Stager and a mid-career job search specialist. She is a Nationally Certified Résumé Writer (NCRW) and a Nationally Certified Online Profile Expert (NCOPE) through the National Résumé Writer’s Association.
She acts as a sounding board to help clients identify their path, and craft words to deliver their message with a customized career marketing campaign. Barbara also acts as a cheerleader to the more seasoned workers, demonstrating how the wisdom they acquired over a career can shift the perception of age from a liability to an asset.
As a former human resources executive, Barbara shares perspectives on what happens on the “other side of the desk,” demystifying the HR selection process. She holds a degree in Human Resources from Lewis University, Romeoville, IL, and is a member of the Society for Human Resources (SHRM).
Barbara has been a contributing writer for Executive Career Brand, Thrive Global, Executive Vine, SHRM, and Human Resources Management of Chicago (HRMAC). She is also co-author of a book, “Adulting Made Easy(er): Navigating from Campus to Career.”
Paying it forward by helping others find meaningful employment is personal for her. She is a Director Emeritus at Career and Networking Center, a not-for-profit organization located in Naperville, IL.
